Histology of the Skin – October 17, 18, 19, 2007, March 10-12, 2008, April 15-17, 2008
Histology is a department of anatomy that deals with the minute structure, composition, and function of the tissues. Learn to use a microscope, fixing and cutting skin specimens, staining, viewing slides of skin disorders, aged skin, blood cells, and more. Completion of this course will give the esthetician a new and complete understanding of the skin.

Cosmetic Chemistry- February 25-28, 2008, April 7-10, 2008
This is an opportunity to work side by side with the master of cosmetic chemistry!
This course is designed to provide the esthetician with a basic understanding of the ingredients in cosmetic products, how they are formulated in the laboratory, and how products are manufactured. What you will learn is; basic laboratory equipment, weighing and measuring ingredients, using the pH meter, emulsions technology, gels and creams, selection of ingredients and how to design a formula. Students make six products ranging from a skin cleanser to an anti-aging product. Students are encouraged to bring a product with them for analysis. This class is limited to 8 students, early registration is recommended.

Product Knowledge for Circadia by Dr. Pugliese This class is a must for the professional that wants to learn the science behind the products. Understand the ingredients used to formulate Circadia and why they are beneficial to the health of the skin. Hands-on training for the Swich Dermal Rejuvenation System, Oxygen Rx Treatment, Circadia peels, and the enzymes. 1 day This class runs continually throughout the year as needed or per request.

Chemical Peels - February 11, 2008
Chemical peels are making a come back in the industry. Update your knowledge on the subject now!
Understand the different types of peels, pH values, non-buffered or buffered acids, new additions to the industry, how to choose the right type of chemical peel for different skin types and conditions, what to expect and what to avoid. Demonstrations and hands-on applications. Students receive a sample peel kit and $100. credit towards any Circadia peel purchase.
